Our Service Appointment Types

  • We have 3 options for full bike services. These are full, intermediate and basic. You can view the details of these options in our service page. We additionally have an appointment called ‘Service on Assessment’, please book this if you are unsure on what your bike needs!

  • We offer custom wheel builds as singular and as a pair. Book in with us now to get your custom wheels built by our specialist.

  • Do you have a new bike? Or a dismantled bike? Maybe it’s a Christmas gift? Book a adult or child bike build in with Velo28 and we’ll carefully put your bike together, ensuring safety first!

Services

Any warranty on the bike will have to be taken up with the supplier of the bike, I accept no responsibility for damaged parts, once checked! Any additional parts or requirements highlighted and quoted for.

Basic Service - £45

  • Tyres checked & inflated to the correct pressures

  • Bolts tightened to recommended torque settings

  • Chain checked

  • Gear setup

  • Brake setup

  • Any additional parts or requirements highlighted and quoted for, ie chain, cassette, bearings, bar tape, tyres etc

Intermediate Service - £85

  • A good going over

  • Tyres checked & inflated to the correct pressures

  • Bolts tightened to recommended torque settings

  • Chain checked

  • Gears serviced

  • Stainless Inner Gear and Brake Cables Installed

  • Hydraulic Brakes Bled

  • Gear setup

  • Brake service

  • Brake setup

  • Bottom Bracket removed and threads regresed

  • Headset stripped, greased and reinstalled

  • Wheels trued (not in stand)

  • Wheel Bearing Checked

  • Cassette and Chain Degreased

  • Any additional parts or requirements highlighted and quoted for, ie chain, cassette, bearings, bar tape, tyres etc

Full Service - £135

  • A full strip down and rebuild

  • Tyres checked & inflated to the correct pressures

  • Bolts tightened to recommended torque settings

  • New inner and outer brake and gear cables Installed

  • Chain checked

  • Gears serviced

  • Gear setup

  • Brake service

  • Brake setup

  • Full bike clean including drive train de-grease

  • Wheels trued (if possible)

  • Headset service

  • Bottom Bracket service

  • Wheel Bearing Checked and Greased

  • Bike fully stripped & all parts individually cleaned

  • New Bar Tape

  • Hydraulic Brakes Bled and Fresh Fluid

  • Test ride

  • Any additional parts or requirements highlighted and quoted for, ie chain, cassette, bearings, tyres etc

We have completed a range of triathlons and iron-man events too which has developed our biking knowledge and we would also love to share with you as a customer!

 FAQ’s

  • You can make an appointment with us via our 'Bookings' page in the navigation. Within this page, you will need to select the red 'Book Here' button which will redirect you to Bike Book. Bike Book is the platform you will book and manage appointments with us.

  • If you are unsure with what is wrong with your bike and you want it checked over then you can book in an appointment with us by selecting the ‘Service on Assessment’ option.

  • The drop off location for your bike when it is booked in for a service can be found below this FAQ section. If you get lost and require further guidance/information about our drop off point then please get in touch with us via our mobile number found in the footer. Please remember that our bike service location is different our bike fit location.

  • We understand that you may not always be able to make your appointment. If this is the case, head to your Bike Book appointment and cancel or reschedule for a more suitable date. Please note, you must give 48 hours notice for a cancelation and 24 hours for a reschedule.
